JUMPSTART 2018 WITH 8 THINGS YOU MUST NOT IGNORE

Happy New Year 2018

Happy New Year Amigos, wish you all a prosperous year ahead. Productive and effective individuals don’t leave things to chance and plan well for them. Success does not only come from how you perform at your workplace, in fact, it is also a result of how you lead your personal life.

This new year, let’s shake things up and give ourselves every reason to be enthusiastic and positive. As is said, no time is better than NOW. There can’t be a better time to take up things that we have either wished but could not do or have been delaying and waiting for the right time.

While you shake off your holiday memories, start getting ready for the grind of the year, how about making certain actions from the list below a part of your life to help you balance life and make you feel good in many aspects.

Don’t mistake these things for resolutions, they are more than that. These are

OPPORTUNITIES – FOR YOU, FROM YOU because YOU MATTER!

JUMPSTART 2018 WITH 8 THINGS YOU MUST NOT IGNORE

  1. KNOW-LOVE-IMPROVE-PUSH/PULL (KLIP) YOURSELF

KLIP and continue to discover the real you in a different situation every day. When you strive to know your overall personality, are willing to improve things about you, will push yourself towards your goals and love things about yourself, it would mean that you are at peace with your inner self and ready to take on the world. It is essential to focus on your strengths and weakness before anyone else and continue to evolve in both personal and professional life

  1. FOCUS ON YOUR HEALTH

None of us is getting younger, which means to keep fit, you must work towards leading a healthy lifestyle. Consult your doctor, research on the internet; find out good to eat food, easy to do workouts and regular check-ups of your body. Right kind of diet and exercise can help you reduce stress and pressure. Take control of your health while you try to control other facets of life. Health is wealth

  1. PICK UP A HOBBY

All work and no play makes you dull and boring. As children, there’s never a dull moment as there was so much to enjoy. It’s not late to start and pick up something that you really want to do like playing an instrument, playing a sport, cooking, etc. Spare time as per your schedule to learn something new or pursue things you knew but with work routine it got lost. A hobby is a good way to relax, recharge your cells and be yourself. It gives you the impetus that is needed for an overall development

  1. UPSKILL & LEARN

The world is getting competitive and skills are evolving. Learn something to add to your current skill-set, which makes you future ready. New learning keeps your mind sharp and alert. You also open up your options in a job market and employers start noticing you, so if you can’t be a game changer, you can still stay in the game!

  1. SPEND TIME WITH YOUR FAMILY

Time to surprise your family with your time on weekdays, weekend, holidays and quick breaks. Seeing your parents, or in-laws, and even friends treating your spouse at a restaurant you both like or taking your kids to their favorite outdoor activity or simply telling them stories, spending time with your loved ones will give you a comfort of cushion in times you need it the most

  1. TRAVEL & EXPLORE

The world awaits you with open arms, the magic word is EXPLORE, just go out to see what various places have to offer, taste different cuisines, know a new culture and give yourself to nature. Traveling can be absorbing and enriching. I bet, you will be surprised at the jewels that planet earth has on offer. Even better that at times you can make travel plans with your family and friends

  1. GIVE BACK TO THE SOCIETY

An important part of being a good citizen is to give back to the community, society, people, and organization. There are several ways to show you care, like volunteering, financial aid, blood donation, donating clothes or food, adopting a family or a child. When you are inclined to give out, there are ways that will open up as well. All it needs is a willingness to come forward and pick a cause.

  1. STAY HAPPY

Throughout the above seven points and situations not covered here, you must continue to be happy.  Please understand and realize that as a human we can only do our Karma. What matters this year is that you smile and stay happy while leading your life irrespective of the situations around you. Smile continues to be a classic stress buster for ages now. Why miss those fun moments, they never are a distraction, it makes you more productive and must admit that SMILE is contagious, so go spread it around and make your surroundings beautiful. Smile often brings with it the positivity that we look out for, hope you FEEL IT!

Lessons and laurels from 2017 will rest in the past and its time to make 2018 a better year be it personal or professional lives and all your activities add upto the achievements and opportunities for this year. Make the most of this new year from day one. Cheers and Happy New Year to all my readers.

  1. Love all of these tips! You really nailed all of the most important things to remember and try to do for the new year! Especially the last one, I’ve learned already this year that you can’t forget to take care of yourself. You have to make sure you stay happy no matter what life throws at you!

  2. These are certainly some great points that we should always keep in check, but unfortunately many of us tend to miss out on them. Thanks for nicely putting them together.
